Engagement meetings and hui
Throughout October 2007 the government held a number of workshops and regional meetings to engage with businesses, organisations and individuals on emissions trading and the Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change Plan of Action that included a specific focus on the land management sectors.
Details of these workshops and meetings are listed below, along with the feedback received from each of them (listed in the right hand column under Reports) and copies of the presentations given.

The first day of these two day workshops covered climate change and the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme in general, and the second day focused on forestry and agriculture in the ETS. The workshops were held on:

Seven regional meetings focusing specifically on forestry were held from 10 to 30 October. The regional meetings looked at how forestry is being included in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme, and its place in the Sustainable Land Management and Climate Change Plan of Action.
