- Statement of Intent
The SOI is a statutory document that is formally tabled before Parliament, and is the 'template' against which departments measure and report their performance in their Annual Reports. It replaces the Departmental Forecast Report.
- Statistical Releases
Forestry production and trade statistics produced quarterly and annually.
- Surveillance
Authorative source of information on New Zealand's animal health status and is published quarterly by the MAF Biosecurity Authority.
- Sustainable management of New Zealand's forests - The 2008 New Zealand country report on the Montreal Process criteria and indicators
The Montreal Process criteria and indicators provide a common framework for member countries to monitor, assess and report on trends in forest conditions with respect to the full range of forest values and, in turn, on national progress towards sustainable forest management. Participation in the Montreal Process is the principal mechanism through which New Zealand can demonstrate to the international community that it is committed to sustainable management of all its forests, and what it is (or is not) achieving.
