Proceedings have been started against the Ministry for the above sum at balance date. The claims relate to personnel grievances and alleged losses resulting from pest incursions. The Ministry is defending these cases.
The Ministry also has a non-quantifiable contingent liability relating to an indemnity given against the remote possibility the effects of Btk spray may be proven harmful.
