As a result of the Public Finance Amendment Act 2004, appropriations for non-departmental expenses and capital are accounted for on a GST exclusive basis with effect from 1 July 2005. The figures shown on the Schedule of Non-Departmental Expenses and the Statement of Non-Departmental Expenditure and Appropriations are therefore GST inclusive for 2004/05 and GST exclusive for 2005/06.
The comparative figures have not been restated to exclude GST, as approved appropriations for 2004/05 were made on the GST inclusive basis. Any restatement of the comparative information would not reflect these approved appropriations.
