1. Forest ownership is at 1 April 2005. Since this time the following major forest ownership changes have occurred in New Zealand: Carter Holt Harvey has sold 95 000 hectares to RREEF (Deutsche Asset Management)/Rayonier NZ Ltd Consortium. Rayonier transferred 48 000 hectares of its own forests to the consortium. Evergreen Forests has sold approximately 26 000 hectares to James Fielding Fund Management Ltd (JFFM). JFFM on sold just over 12 000 hectares of these forests in the North Island to the NZ Super Fund.
