From the Editor
Incursions of painted apple moth and the gypsy moth in the Waikato and Auckland regions have given a greater emphasis to both border control and the practice of pest management. We need to be continually innovative in the technologies we adopt to keep New Zealands products safe and environmentally friendly to make them the first choice on the shelves of supermarkets both in New Zealand and overseas. This issue focuses on the biosecurity, pest management and horticulture all of which have been the subject of recent conferences.
