E-farming Magazine
E-farming is the theme of next year’s agricultural Fieldays at Mystery Creek. E-farming basically involves using the Internet to enhance all aspects of farm business. As part of the lead-in to the Fieldays, and as a way of raising awareness about e-farming, three publications are being produced between now and then. The first issue has just been produced.
The writers “combed the paddocks and communities of rural NZ” to discover who’s doing what with the Internet. Items in the first issue include:
- the Internet is an essential ingredient in the global success of Kerikeri grower and gourmet oil producer, Olivado;
- the Internet underpins agri-tourism; and
- the bank to the farm gate.
