ERMA's Ethical Guidelines for HSNO
The Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) has published a set of ethical guidelines, or protocols, it intends to follow in its management of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act. The protocols indicate how ERMA proposes to confront some of the more problematic issues it is likely to face in its decision-making. They also outline how the Authority will interpret some of the key concepts found in the Act and the methodology.
The protocols can be accessed at: http://www.ermanz.govt.nz/resources/publications/pdfs/ER-PR-05-1.pdf |
