An Important Announcement to Rural Bulletin Readers

MAF Policy has decided to discontinue the Rural Bulletin. Consequently, this March edition will be the final one.

The environment has changed markedly since the Rural Bulletin was first published in 1992. In particular, widespread access to the Internet has made this information much more accessible to people.

At this stage, we are unsure if other agencies (either alone or in collaboration with others) would wish to take over responsibility for Rural Bulletin (or develop a Bulletin-like concept of their own).

I'd like to take the opportunity to express my thanks to the Rural Bulletin team for all their hard work over the years. In particular, thanks are due to Craig Matthews (Editor), Karen Thompson (formatting/proofing), and Copy Machine (printing/distribution).
