Services for Our Readers
For people with Internet access, we have a couple of easy-to-use services that we hope will keep you up-to-date with the most current online edition of the `Rural Bulletin'. We'd like to see as many people use this service as possible. Sure, it helps our budget, but more importantly, this will make it easier for us to supply hard copies to those who don't have any Internet access, or to those who don't have good Internet access.
Your Own Copy
You can now get the latest Rural Bulletin emailed to you automatically each month (as a .pdf file). This is a free service via Yahoo, and over 130 people already get their Bulletin this way. To get this feature:
- go to the MAF homepage at www.maf.govt.nz;
- under the title `Rural', click on the words `Rural Bulletin' (this will take you to the Rural Bulletin homepage);
- scroll down to the title `Subscribe';
- almost immediately below this title is a long light-yellow button called `Subscribe to email version'; and
- click on the button and follow the simple instructions to add your details to the automatic mailing list.
Note: To read the .pdf file you will need `Acrobat Reader'. This can be downloaded for free by simply clicking the yellow button with the words `Get Acrobat Reader'.
Another Option
Another option is to be informed by automatic email when the latest edition of the `Rural Bulletin' is added to the website. To take advantage of this:
- follow the instructions as above; then
- if you scroll down the last page, you will come to the words `Receive email when this page changes';
- click on the button to the centre right of the screen called `Mind-it' (which is the name of the company providing this free service); then
- follow the simple instructions and you'll be notified every time the page changes (that is, when a new Rural Bulletin is added to the page).
