Strategic Priorities
MAF’s strategic priorities:
- The critical contributions that MAF can make towards its outcomes over a three to five year period.
- Future-focused.
- Linked to one or more MAF intermediate outcomes.
- Cut across more than one MAF business group.
- Require leadership and co-ordination at a strategic level.
The three strategic priorities focus on particular areas where MAF’S contribution is likely to have the most significant positive impact in “enhancing New Zealand’s natural advantage”. These strategic priorities represent an important focus of MAF’S efforts over the next three years.
This section describes each of the strategic priorities and outlines what MAF is attempting to achieve in respect of them:
- Sustainable development.
- Regulatory philosophy and frameworks.
- Technical rules in trade.
