Introduction
MAF administers three votes - Vote Agriculture and Forestry, Vote Biosecurity and Vote Food Safety. Each vote comprises a number of output expenses (classes) which are the goods and services delivered by MAF. These output expenses are described in this section together with their performance measures and costs.
The activities undertaken within each Vote contribute to MAF's outcomes and strategic priorities as illustrated below. Over the next year MAF will be undertaking further work to clearly understand the relationships between the various output expenses and MAF's outcomes and strategic priorities. This work is a prerequisite to the development of MAF's performance measurement system.
