Lodge ETS Applications Online

To make an application online you need to first create a Government Logon Service (GLS) logon.

The GLS is a way to use the same logon, such as a username and password to securely access government online services. This saves you from having to remember multiple logon details for different websites.

Learn more about the GLS and how it provides enhanced security and privacy.

To create a GLS logon:

To create a GLS logon you will be taken to the GLS website where you can select the ‘Don’t have a logon yet?’ link to create your own username and password. If you already have a GLS logon you can use that to log on with.

Once you have set-up your GLS logon you will be sent back to the MAF site to proceed with your application.

Carbon credits – holding account

If you want to enter the ETS (Forestry) you will also need to register for a holding account. This is obtained through the New Zealand Emissions Unit Register. Apply here.
